In this collection of short films we explore how to be a better ally to students who are facing challenges because of their race, background or language skills.

The series is for everyone working within schools or educational settings and provides an insight into the experiences of young people, and the educators who are passionate about helping them.

What is an ally? In short: an ally is someone who helps and supports someone else.

In these films you’ll find out how you can take practical steps to ensure students feel safe, listened to and respected.

New topics include how to be an ally to refugee students, those with English as another language and East and South East Asian students.

Previous topics explore the experiences of South Asian students, black students and those with a mixed heritage background.

Each film is accompanied by teacher notes, and an outline of the main tips featured.
