Teachers, gather your 7-11 year olds as we develop a new video game and defeat evil villain Master Malware!

Guided by C鶹Լ presenter Joe Tasker and Blue Peter’s Mwaksy Mudenda, in this lesson we challenge your pupils to solve safety issues in our fictional ‘Digital Defence Squad’ game, and unlock advice from famous gamers and cyber savvy celebrities.

We also explore some of the risks of online gaming, ask children their thoughts on how to stay safe online and share practical tips and support from .

This fun, interactive curriculum-linked programme was filmed on location at the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield and is designed to support PSHE, Relationships Education and Digital Literacy learning objectives.

  • Internet safety and harms: that the internet has many benefits, but can be a negative place where online abuse, trolling, bullying and harassment can take place.

  • The rules for keeping safe online: how to recognise risks, harmful content and contact, and how to report them to stay safe.

  • Understand that people sometimes behave differently online (including on social media) and may pretend to be someone they are not.

  • That the same principles apply to online relationships as to face-to-face ones.

  • How to recognise and display respectful behaviour online and recognise similarities and differences between people's values and attitudes.
