Teacher Notes

Pupils could be given an outline figure of a boy (you could use a screen shot of Nathan).

Ask them to watch the programme, then write around the figure everything they noticed and thought about Nathan as they watched.

Ask them what three questions they would like to ask Nathan about his religion.

They could imagine they were going to make a TV programme about their lives, like Nathan: what would they include in the introduction?

Ask pupils to complete a second outline figure of all the information they can about themselves.

Save these figure outlines to add to during RE lessons following as pupils find out more about Christianity.

This topic will be relevant to teaching Religious Education at KS2 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and National 2 or 3 in Scotland.
