ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Suffolk has won back the rights to broadcast live commentary from Ipswich Town's home matches. A new three-year deal will bring listeners live coverage of every game until at least 2012.

"We're delighted to be returning full match commentary, home and away, to ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Suffolk and particularly so for the start of what promises to be an exciting new era for Ipswich Town and their fans," said ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Suffolk's Managing Editor Peter Cook.Μύ

"We know just how passionate our listeners are about the club and we're looking forward to celebrating a great season with them."

ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Suffolk has covered Ipswich Town in-depth as part of its sports coverage since the station began broadcasting in 1990, following them through promotion, the formation of the Premier League, play-off success at Wembley, Europe, relegation, administration and the change in ownership of the club.

The station also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Town's 1978 FA Cup Final victory with a party on the Cornhill in Ipswich.

Brenner Woolley will continue to lead the commentary team at every match.Μύ

"The next season will be fantastic to commentate on and I'll be in great company with some of the club's big names by my side," he said.

"Roy Keane has already made his mark at the club and it will be fascinating to see how the season unfolds."ΜύΜύ

The move comes following complaints from lots of Town supporters about the loss of commentary on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Suffolk - a point noted by the new top man in the Portman Road boardroom.

The Chief Executive Simon Clegg said: "It's important that we consider the views of the supporters when we make decisions about the Club and I'm aware that there was disappointment expressed by some fans about the commentary rights last season.

β€œI'm sure the decision to team up again with ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Suffolk will be welcomed by the supporters in what we hope will be an exciting three years ahead."

The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ will provide coverage of Ipswich and also the rest of the Football League on television, radio and online. A new TV deal includes a weekly highlights show with 10 live Championship matches to be shown on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ channels for the first time.

The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Sport website will show goals from all Football League clubs.

NOTE: We will only be broadcasting Ipswich Town and commentaries on FM radio - they are not available via this website. ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Suffolk does not have webstreaming rights - Ipswich Town Football Club retains these rights, so contact them if you have any further questions.

However, we DO have rights to broadcast and webstream Ipswich Town's FA Cup commentaries!
