Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ

2007 was the year Charlie stepped out from his brother's shadow. However, it's not a case of sibling rivalry and in-fighting - the pair shared a stage (as did their sister Vashti) during Tom's gig at the end of the High Tide drama festival at Halesworth's New Cut.

Charlie began an association with Peter Gabriel having recorded for Tom at the former Genesis singer's Real World Studios. Following a spot of babysitting, Charlie eventually pressed his demo's into Peter's hands. Publishing and record deals with Real World followed and Charlie was one of the support acts on Gabriel's summer tour on 2007 which took in a 'homecoming' gig of sorts at Blickling Hall in Norfolk.

A rising profile meant the time was clearly right to get him and his harmonica player Benjamin Edwards into Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Suffolk for a session in 2007.ΜύThe songs are all from his debut album Make Way. This was later renamed Hobo as the single Like A Hobo took off in France.

In the summer of 2009, Hobo hit the top of the French charts and Charlie's become a multi-platinum star there - playing at festivals in front of 50,000 people while remaining relatively unknown in his native UK.
