Speakeasy are Terry Mackley and Paul 'Pappy' Watts

Speakeasy

Ipswich's 'Speakeasy' are the first Jazz/Blues band on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Suffolk Unsiged site. Listen to their tracks and tell us what you think of them? Do you want to hear more?

Speakeasy are Terry Mackley and Paul 'Pappy' Watts and they describe themselves as purveyors of 'soulful laidback music' inspired by the great age of jazz and blues.

"Lazy afternoons, bars, warm summer breezes - Speakeasy would provide an excellent atmosphere with their blend of simple yet very pleasant jazz/blues"

Mini Review

They say their influences range from Hoagy Carmichael to Ray Charles and that you can clearly hear this in the songs that they write themselves.

Ipswich's finest jazz and blues combo continue to gig in the area, and Terry Mackey also regularly performs solo at The Arboretum in Ipswich.

What do you think of them? Leave your comments below.
