One Railway is pledging its support to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Suffolk's St Edmund campaign.

Suffolk's rail operator is naming one of it's trains St Edmund.Μύ

Since the campaign to reinstate St Edmund as the patron saint of England was launched .. hundreds of people and a number of businesses have said they're backing St Edmund.Μύ

The latest to join the campaign is One Railway. A two carriage local train is to be named St Edmund.

It'll be used on all local lines across Suffolk including Ipswich, Felixstowe and Lowestoft plus Cambridge and Norfolk branch lines out of Norwich.

The train will be officially named by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Suffolk Breakfast Presenter Mark Murphy and East Anglian Daily Times editor Terry Hunt in November at Ipswich Railway Station.Μύ

One railway spokesperson Peter Meades says the company is delighted to be involved in the campaign and thinks it's a great boost for Suffolk tourism.
