Five Exeter Chiefs players will join Championship side Cornish Pirates on dual-registration for the 2024-25 season.

Fly-half Iwan Jenkins returns to the Mennaye for a second consecutive year having been one of the dozen dual-registered last season.

Sol Moody, Hallam Chapman, Chester Ribbons, and Charlie McCraig will also join the Pirates ahead of their opening game away at Nottingham in September.

Chiefs said the Cornish side "had long formed an important stepping stone" for their players' development.

The move follows prop Billy Keast's loan move to the Pirates on Monday.

“We have a fantastic working relationship with Cornish Pirates and the coaches there," Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter said.

"We’re delighted that we can have players on loan, giving them not only very good coaching but also that real competitive training and game-time in what is a very good, strong and competitive league.”

Gavin Cattle, Cornish Pirates joint head coach added: "As always, our relationship with the Chiefs is strong, as is mirrored by the calibre of players once again named this year.

“With a balance of youth and experience there, which will provide a good blend for us in relation to the Championship, from our perspective it is business as usual as we look forward to pushing those boys on.”
