Depleted Devils edge Flames in 3-2 thriller

Cardiff Devils bounced back from their first Elite League defeat of the season by beating Guildford Flames in a 3-2 thriller.

Travelling with a depleted side, Devils took a 2-0 first period lead with goals from Zach O'Brien and Brett Perlini.

Joshua Waller pulled one back for the hosts with a powerplay goal to set up a dramatic final period.

Lewis Hook levelled the scores, before Joey Martin sealed the win for Devils who had lost 3-1 to Belfast Giants on Saturday.

Devils return to action on Friday, 11 October when they host Fife Flyers.
