  2. What is the Women's EuroHockey Championship Qualifier?published at 14:22 British Summer Time 24 August

The prize for winning the Women’s EuroHockey Championship Qualifier is a place in the EuroHockey Championships in Monchengladbach, Germany, next August.

The top six teams from the previous EuroHockey Championships qualify automatically, leaving two spots in the tournament for qualifiers.

One of those has been held in Glasgow this week and reaches a climax with Sunday's final.

Hosts Scotland finished seventh at the last EuroHockey Championships, just missing out on automatic qualification, but are the highest-ranked team and therefore had a bye to the semi-finals.

The teams who finish second and third in the tournament qualify for EuroHockey Championship II, which is the second tier of international hockey, while the rest qualify for EuroHockey Championship III – the bottom tier.
