Leyton Orient have signed midfielder Dominic Ball on a free transfer until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old has been without a club since he was released by Ipswich Town in the summer.

The O's are currently bottom of League One with no points from their first four matches but are through to the third round of the Carabao Cup.

"I look at the squad here, and it's full of really talented, young players, but you also need those older heads who have played at all different types of levels," he told the club

"In my last two seasons at Ipswich we achieved back-to-back promotions, which was achieved by working hard individually and collectively.

"I'm hopeful that I can bring some of my experience from my career to help this team."

Ball was part of the academy at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Rotherham United in 2016.

Loans at Peterborough United and Aberdeen followed before he moved permanently to QPR in 2019, where he made 97 appearances.

Ball signed for the Tractor Boys in 2022 and played 35 times as the club achieved promotion to the Championship and then to the Premier League.

Orient travel to Reading in League One on Saturday.
