Lloyd Kerry kept up Harrogate Town's bright start to life in the English Football League with the winner in a Yorkshire derby with Bradford.

He turned a curling cross from the right by Jack Muldoon for the only goal and a fourth game without loss in five.

Jon Stead was earlier denied by a fine diving stop by Richard O'Donnell, while Brandon Kearnan shot straight at the keeper as Harrogate chased a second.

Bradford had chances, with sub Callum Cooke firing just wide when played in.

Harrogate move up to eighth, back to winning ways after a first defeat - by Bolton - last time out.

Stuart McCall's Bantams, who also went close when Clayton Donaldson forced a low stop by James Belshaw, lost at home in the league for the first time since October 2019.
