Scottish footballers, staff and officials have been asked not to shake hands as part of authorities attempts to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
A circular was sent to clubs requesting the reduction of person-to-person contact as per Scottish Government guidelines.
It will be implemented "immediately", starting with Tuesday's Edinburgh derby at Easter Road.
Scotland has only one confirmed case of coronavirus so far.
The patient, from the Tayside area, is "clinically well", but is in isolation in hospital as a precaution.
Scotland head coach Steve Clarke has not travelled to Amsterdam for Tuesday's Nations League draw as a precaution.
The Scottish FA and Scottish Professional Football League have formed a joint response group to address any effects of coronavirus.
It includes Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell and SPFL counterpart Neil Doncaster, and this is its first recommendation.
