Jersey look set to make the final of 2026 T20 World Cup Sub Regional Europe Qualifier B after their final pool match was abandoned.

The islanders, who are top of their five-team group, were due to face second-placed Croatia on Friday.

But heavy rain at the venue in Krefeld in Germany has seen the match cancelled.

It leaves Jersey top of the group, two points ahead of Croatia with a vastly superior run rate.

Having recorded a 165-run win over Serbia, a 167-run victory over Switzerland and a 108-run win against Belgium Jersey have a net run rate of 7.333.

It means the Croats - who have a run rate of 1.025 after wins over Serbia and Belgium - would have to inflict an incredible victory over Switzerland in their final game on Saturday to overhaul Jersey and make the final.

Should Jersey make Sunday's final they will face Norway after Germany and Slovenia - who could both catch them - saw their game abandoned earlier on Friday leaving the Norwegians with an unassailable lead in their pool.
