The Heroine Twins

The Heroine Twins from Wells play catchy guitar-riffs, pounding drums and slick bass-lines, with some interesting lyrics. Find out more about them.

Who are The Heroine Twins?

James Davies-Hale on guitar and vocals; Rory Smith on lead guitar; Oliver Elliott on bass guitar; and George Garratt on drums.

Where in Somerset are you from?

Wells

When did you form?

October 2006

How did you get together?

We all met at the glamorous Strode College.

James met Rory and they began to write the tunes. Ollie and George were then brought in to provide the crucial backbone of the band - we are four mates who live in teepees!

How would you describe your music?

It's quite original, and a bit different to what other people are writing in Somerset, which is good - a few catchy guitar riffs, pounding drums, slick bass-lines and some interesting lyrics.

How did the band gets its name?

In a dream James had!

He hasn't revealed what actually happened in the dream yet though - maybe it's all a lie and the name just fell out of the sky!

Who are your musical influences?

Well, we have a number of different influences, not just musically.

We are influenced by writers, actors, musicians, art, and by many pop/rock artists from the last 50 years.

What is your most memorable gig so far?

Our first gig at the Tor Rugby Club in Glastonbury - we had a jolly old time.

Where would you most like to play?

Anywhere and everywhere - a gig's a gig!Μύ

Finally, tell us some interesting facts about yourself

We're not that interesting at all to be honest - we're just four un-extraordinary kids who love nothing more than to make a good old racket now and again.Μύ

James is Welsh and the rest of us are English - that might raise a few eyebrows!
