Who are The Bushmonkeys? Nick on guitar, Nath on bass and Sam on drums Where in Somerset are you from? Taunton When did you form? 2004 How did you get together? We have known each other for a long, long time, and we all played instruments so we decided to make a go of it. It just so happened that we clicked as a band and were able to make an awesome sound. How would you describe your music? Our set is extremely varied, going from heavy and meaningful to light and funky. How did the band gets its name? 'Bushmonkeys' are Rastas from the Caribbean who just chill all day by the roadside and talking to randomers. Much like us. Who are your musical influences? We all have very different tastes in music, therefore having different influences. Some of them are: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Foo Fighters, Deftones, The Snakes, Treefrogs and much, much more. What is your most memorable gig so far? New Year's Eve 2005-2006 in Taunton supporting The Snakes. Awesome gig, played really well, the place was packed, great atmosphere, wicked night. Where would you most like to play? A popular choice for any band including us would be Glasto! We as a band have such a passion for music and playing we would play anywhere.
