Grotto Hill and the Red Castle

This is Grotto Hill, the view that Dr Johnson called the 'awful precipice' at Hawkstone Park. The remains of the 1,000 year-old Red Castle can be seen on the hill opposite, as well as a view that stretches across the Shropshire Plain into Wales.

To move around in the image, hold down your left mouse button and drag, or use cursor keys. Use "A" to zoom in and "Z" to zoom out. Please be patient while the image loads.
