A team of staff from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Shropshire has moved into Hadley, to the Hadley Learning Community (HLC), to gather stories from the young people there. We want to hear about the world from their point of view – and to record what they have to say. They've been talking to us about their hobbies, their friends, their view of where they live, their school, their home lives – all sorts of things in fact that matter to them. Of all the varied areas of Shropshire, Hadley has one of the highest proportion of young people. Our project, called Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ @ HLC, hopes to find out what makes them tick. Being based on the new campus we have access to the young people throughout the school day, and they can come along and find us whenever they want to have their say. Some of the HLC pupils want to make pieces of radio to go out on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Shropshire, some want to write about something or to make a film for bbc.co.uk/shropshire. Many come to us with an idea and we help them make it into a piece of audio, film or writing that other people will want to hear, watch or read. We're very careful to support them in shaping their idea, and to let them tell the story in their own words. It's not for us to decide what they say. We've had moving stories, funny stories, and young people trying their hand at reporting. It's a great opportunity for both the students and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ. last updated: 25/04/2008 at 09:28 You are in: Shropshire > Community > Hadley Learning Community > Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ @ HLC |
