Matthew emerges from his hideaway in the South Shropshire Hills every Saturday and Sunday morning just to chat to you and play a few tunes.

Despite the wash and brush up he went through in anticipation of his sixtieth birthday, he still remains the slightly dishevelled grand-daddy of the station.

Arriving on the airwaves after 15 years in the RAF and lots of other jobs besides, Matthew started on radio with his country music show and has now made Saturday and Sunday mornings his own.
