On Foot
Dynamic Earth is (approximately) a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh City Centre. Accessible from Holyrood Road, Holyrood Gait and a public footpath from Horse Wynd.
By Bus
There are several open top tour buses which make regular stops at Dynamic Earth. The number 35 stops a 3-minute walk away from Dynamic Earth. Alternative routes include the 5, 7, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 45 and 49 which stop on North Bridge and are a 10-minute walk away along Holyrood Road.
By Train
The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverly, which is a 15-minute walk away, when leaving from the Market Street exit.
Parking
Dynamic Earth has a 24-hour car park located underneath the building, for which charges apply. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis and cannot be reserved beforehand. The car park has a height limit of 2.3 meters.
Dynamic Earth has three electric car charging points for public use. The charging points only accept Charge Place Scotland cards (not the app as it is a low signal area). Electricity is free and standard car park charges apply.
There are six disabled parking bays. Free parking is available for all Blue Badge Holders, parking tickets must be validated at the ticket desk or our security entrance before leaving.
Dynamic Earth is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramp access up to the entrance of the building and lifts throughout to navigate through the exhibition, and to gain access to and from the car park. Wheelchair access to the car park is via the internal lifts only.Â
