Dial 999 (or the relevant emergency number for the country you are in)
Provide as much information as you can about the incident
Follow the instructions given by the call operator
Remain in situ (if safe to do so)
If the emergency relates to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ output - inform the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Commissioning Editor
If the emergency relates to a child (U18) engaged by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ - inform the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Safeguarding Team
Concerns Relating to a Member of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Staff
If you have concerns about an adult's behaviour towards a child, it is important that you report these concerns as soon as possible. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ takes all allegations of misconduct seriously.
Examples of behaviour of adults that could compromise the reputation and ability of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ to safeguard children:
- Contravening the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Safeguarding Policy or any safe practice guidance for working with children given by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.
- Exploiting or abusing a position of trust and/or power.
- Consistently demonstrating a failure to understand or appreciate how their own actions could adversely impact upon the safety and well-being of a child.
- Not making sound professional judgements which safeguard the welfare of children.
- Failing to understand or recognise the need for clear personal and professional boundaries in their work, or
- Behaving in such a way that it seriously undermines the trust and confidence placed in them by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.
