Why does my external audio amplifier go silent when watching some programmes on a 鶹Լ HD channel?

Most programmes on the 鶹Լ are transmitted in stereo, however some HD programmes are transmitted in Dolby Digital 5.1. For viewers who only have a stereo setup, your receiver will convert (or downmix) the Dolby Digital 5.1 transmission to stereo. The 鶹Լ does not broadcast two separate soundtracks.

If your stereo amplifier goes silent when Dolby Digital 5.1 programmes are broadcast, it is possible that the amplifier does not understand the Dolby Digital 5.1 transmission received. We suggest you try changing the television/set-top box output in the settings to PCM Stereo.
