Abstract

This report describes the design of a portable mains operated tone source for use in acoustics research, incorporating a warble-tone generator and a motor-driven frequency sweep. It has good frequency stability and high resetting accuracy, and the whole apparatus, weighing only 20 Ibs, is housed on a standard miniature box.
