Abstract

The design of the Type B cutter head has been fully described in Report No. C.044, but investigation of the performance of the head under various conditions has been continued. Information is now available on the performance of two heads, which have been in service for several months on a Presto recording channel adapted for the purpose. Details of the modifications required on the Presto apparatus are also given.
