Abstract
The work described in this report was undertaken to investigate the measurement of cutter-disc noise and to enable apparatus for the measurement of this noise to be produced. The first model of such a piece of apparatus has been completed and its design, method of operation and limitations are discussed herein. It is at present undergoing tests under operating conditions by Operations and Maintenance Department, on the results of which will be based the design of the future equipment.
