A disease that affects 400,000 people in the UK - most of them women

You’ve almost certainly heard of Cystitis, but InterstitialÌýCystitis is probably totally unfamiliar. Despite it’s low profile a conservative estimate puts the number of people with IC in the UK at 400,000. Of these 90% are women.

IC is a chronic inflammation of the bladder wall that creates severe pain in patients. Its cause is not known and there is no cure.Ìý
