A radio soap star over 50 years ago, turned published poet in her nineties
Three years before The Archers made their debut on the Â鶹ԼÅÄ, the Luscombes and their brood were the nation's favourite radio family. The programme aired in 1948 and in the cast was a young mother called Aileen Mills, who played the character Dot in the original series.
Aileen is now 93 and has published her first book of poetry, simply called Poems to Read Aloud.
