Is it too girly?

The American author Frank Beddor has rewritten one of Britain's classic children's stories,Ìýaccusing the original of being 'too girly'. The Looking Glass Wars is set in a land of strife, where the evil Queen Redd has murdered her sister to take the throne.

But is the original Alice in Wonderland really a book just for girls? And what labels aÌýbook 'girly' in the first place?

Frank and Jenni discuss.

Frank Beddor's The Looking Glass WarsÌýis available from Egmont Books, ISBN 1405209879 from 6 September
