How inspiration and energy brought them back to life
For over a half a century the Walled Garden at Scampston Hall in North Yorkshire was a sorry sight.Ìý It wasÌýovergrown and fit for little but grazing sheep and growing the odd Christmas tree.
Then Lady Caroline Legard arrived and was determined to turn the place around. She enlisted the help of one of Europe 's top garden designers and with a reluctant husband on board she began her project.
