Jenny Joseph
Jenny Joseph's poems were first published in the early 1950s. Since then there have been numerous collections, including six books for children, more books of prose and her contribution to different anthologies. She has collaborated with photographers and she has won prizes.

But ultimately what she is best known for is one poem which was twice voted the nation's favourite post-war poem: Warning: When I Am An Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple. Her book Led By the Nose describes a year in Joseph's garden through smell of each month's plants. Anna McNamee went to Gloucestershire to meet her.
'Led By The Nose' by Jenny Joseph is published by Souvenir Press; ISBN: 0 285 636537
