Susan Tedeschi first appeared on a Grammy newcomers list five years ago alongside the likes of Britney Spears, Macy Gray, Kid Rock and Christina Aguilera.
Unlike these others, she's one of the few musicians flying the flag for American Roots music, something which has led to comparisons with Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, and the adoration of Gwyneth Paltrow.
