Ìý Fruit of the Magi - Cranberry 23 December 2003 Ìý
A fruit that is all about Christmas - from the deep red of its colour to the perfect acid contrast it makes with anything meaty or cheesy.

Cranberries grow on bushes in sandy, damp and peaty soil. Ironically they are extremely sensitive to cold temperatures and yet they are still as integral a part of the North American Christmas as snow.

Diana Henry, the food writer and author of Crazy Water, Pickled Lemons is a fan of the fruit and she showed Anna McNamee another tasty way cranberries can be incorporated into your seasonal celebrations.
