Ìý Medical Scare Stories - Assessing the Risks Tuesday 19 August 2003 Ìý
Every day we are bombarded with medical scare stories so how do we assess the risk accurately?

While scientists often argue about the pros and cons of everyday medicines and food, how do we decide what is best? Should it be taught at schools? Should the media and researchers themselves be more responsible?
With women at the forefront of making decisions about HRT, MMR and GM foods, Jenni will be joined by Anthropology of Science Professor Sarah Franklin, GP Pauline Brimblecombe and Tracey Brown, the director of Sense About Science , to discuss how we should deal with scientific information.
