Ìý Fly Fishing Wednesday 13 August 2003 Ìý
Well, if you thought it was painful enough to get up at the crack of dawn to go fishing, spare a thought for those who actually make the tackle.

Mandy Shelvey-Veness is a fishing fly-tier. She wraps bits of silk and feathers to the end of fishing hooks in brightly coloured patterns that will tempt the fish to bite. Mandy's skills have won her international awards, and her clients - including Scottish lairds and Saudi princes - will pay up to £75 for her speciality fishing flies.
Jennifer Chevalier went to meet Mandy and her boyfriend at their west London flat, where Mandy explained how her speciality flies start life.
