Ìý Bea Arthur Friday 8 August 2003 Ìý
She is known the world over as the gravel-voiced Dorothy from The Golden Girls. Not one to shy away from controversy, Bea shocked America in the 1970s in the TV sitcom Maude, when she played a woman in her 40s who decided to have an abortion.

Of her career, she says she has done everything except rodeo and porn - and Bea joins Martha to tell her why, at the age of 80, she's decided to make her West End stage debut with a one woman show.
Bea Arthur at the Savoy" will open for a strictly limited 5-week season on Monday 15 September, following previews from Friday 12 September and finishing on 18 October.
