Ìý Does Positive Thinking Create False Hopes? Friday 18 July 2003 Ìý
Every day we hear information about different ways of tackling cancer.

A new book suggests that the power of the mind has been underestimated when it comes to treating the disease.
Cancer Positive is written by Dr James Colthurst, a former surgeon who trained in homeopathy and now runs a private clinic. Dr Mike Isaac is consultant psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital in London. They join Martha to discuss whether positive thinking creates false hope.
'Cancer Positive' by Dr James Colhurst, published by Michael O'Mara Books Ltd; ISBN: 185479860X.
