Ìý Aurora Cancer Centre Thursday 17 April 2003 Ìý
For many cancer sufferers the psychological care and support they receive is still sadly inadequate.

One of the worst things of all on the emotional front can be the effect of the treatment on appearance. Apart from possible mastectomy, chemotherapy patients commonly suffer hair loss, serious skin and nail problems and excessive weight loss or gain.
The NHS does now offer wig services, to anyone who's losing their hair - but apart from that, there's normally little or no specialist advice available.
But last September, the Aurora Centre opened in Doncaster Royal Infirmary, to provide a range of beauty services and therapies specifically geared towards cancer patients. Caroline Swinburne paid them a visit.
