Ìý River Dart Poet Monday 24 February 2003 Ìý
The poet Alice Oswald has been described as the rightful heir to the former poet laureate, Ted Hughes.

She's just published her second collection. It's called Dart and follows the river of the same name from its source on Dartmoor to the sea and combines its sound with the words of those who work alongside it - people like fishermen, ferry men, foresters and swimmers.
Alice Oswald lives at Dartington in Devon and she's been telling us about how she came to write the poem.
'Dart' by Alice Oswald, published by Faber and Faber; ISBN: 057121861X
