Norma Khouri's book Forbidden Love has just been released.

It is a harrowing memoir by a Jordanian woman whose life-long friend, Dalia, was the victim of an honour killing at the hands of her own father.
Norma herself had to flee Jordan after confronting Dalia's family; even her own family threatened to kill her for shaming them. She is now attempting to bring to the world's attention the plight of thousands of women still subjected to inhumane treatment in a country where a woman can be killed without fear of reprisal just for falling in love.
Norma Khouri joins Jenni to talk about her book and the true story behind it.
Norma Khouri, 'Forbidden Love', 359 pages, Published 3rd Feb 2003 by Doubleday; ISBN: 0385604394
