Marion Bauer was an American composer who combined her own more traditional music with a passion for all things modern.
She championed new music as a teacher and critic during the first half of the twentieth century and was determined to convince us that the atonal was nothing to be afraid of.
Diana Ambache is the pianist and musical director with the Ambache Chamber Orchestra who are performing a series of works by American composers in London. She told Claudia Hammond about Marion Bauer's busy life.
