A new television version of Dr Zhivago starts next weekend.
We all remember Julie Christie as Lara in the 1960's film but who was the real Lara?
Anna Pasternak, writer and great niece of Boris Pasternak and Professor Neil Cornwell from Bristol University join Jenni to tell her more about the dramatic life of the woman who is said to have inspired Pasternak's heroine. Dr Zhivago begins on Sunday 24th November on ITV1 at 9 pm Neil Cornwell's essay on the women in Boris Pasternak's life: Women and Russian Culture, edited by Rosalind Marsh, published by Berghahn Books
