Ìý Knitting Wednesday 31 July 2002 Ìý
Imagine an evening spent with the local knitting circle. If you're like most people, you're probably thinking this would involve whiling away the time with a quiet group of ladies in someone's living room.

Well, get ready to adjust your mindset. Knitting in the 21st century is set to become all the rage. Embroidery and crochet have even been appearing on both the cat walk and in the high street.
Cast Off is a London-based knitting club for both boys and girls. Founded just over a year ago the group now meet regularly in a series of bars, clubs, pubs and other modish venues, where they can indulge in this favourite pastime. Anna McNamee went to along to meet them.
