Nichelle Nicholls
As Lieutenant Uhura in Star Trek she became the first African-American woman to have a prominent role on a major network program.

But there was life before Star Trek. Nichelle was an accomplished stage actress and singer before she took the role that changed her life.
She joins Jenni to discuss her extensive career and to talk about her new film, Snow Dogs, in which she appears with Cuba Gooding Jnr and her new book - the second in her sci-fi trilogy, Saturna's Quest.
