Ìý Lusitania Monday 20 May 2002 Ìý
The ocean liner Lusitania sank in just 18 minutes with the loss of twelve hundred lives. Its destruction by the Germans in 1915 marked a new barbarism in warfare.

But was she really carrying munitions? Was she sacrificed on purpose to draw the Americans into the war? And what of her famed treasure?
A new book by Diana Preston seeks to answer these questions. Jenni asks her to sheds some light on an old mystery.
Diana Preston, Wilful Murder: The Sinking of the Lusitania, Doubleday; ISBN: 0385601735, £18.99
