In 1969, just out of her teens, Susan O'Neill went to Vietnam as a US Army nurse. Drawn by the money and the travel, O'Neill admits that she had no idea what she was getting herself into.
Only now, thirty years later, has O'Neill written about her thirteen months there, in a book of short stories called Don't Mean Nothing.
She joins Jenni to tell the story of the women who went to Vietnam and how they survived a war which, she says, "accomplished nothing".
