She first broke into the limelight during World War II, when as a child she entertained the troops. She is said to have performed in over 200 shows for the forces all over England before the age of nine.
Known as the British Shirley Temple, she matured into a celebrated actress, and TV pioneer. She first appeared on experimental TV in the forties and later as host of Pet's parlour.
It was later in her career that she recorded her first song, music, music, music and over fifty years later she is back with her latest album.Petula Clark, The Ultimate Collection, is published by Sanctuary Records SANDD111, on 15th April
