Ìý Sherry Tuesday 18 December 2001 Ìý
If you're having aunties and grandmas over for Christmas, you will, no doubt have a nice drop of sherry in the house.

But it's not really up with Chardonnay as the fashionable drink of choice. It's a wine fortified with Brandy and originates from Southern Spain. Nevertheless, Simon Parkes is a fan of the 'woman's tipple' and has been investigating its changing fortunes with other drinkers.
He spoke to Jancis Robinson, drink writer, Andrew Barr, drink historian, Samantha Clark, Head Chef and co-owner of Moro's restaurant, and Joyce Gilby and Muriel Burton of the Women's Royal Voluntary Service.
