Ìý Rheumatoid arthritis Friday 19 October 2001 Ìý
A new charity - the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), is being launched for those affected by rheumatoid arthritis.

An estimated 600,000 people are affected by the disease - most of whom are women.
Martha talks to Louise Clifford, who has lived with the disease from the age of six, and to Dr Gabriel Panayi, a specialist in rheumatoid arthritis at St Guys and Thomas' Hospital, to find out what hope the new charity and new treatments can offer sufferers.
The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society can be contacted on telephone: 01628 670606. For more contact details please click on the link or call the Radio 4 Actionline on 0800 044 044.
