Ìý Parents coping with anorexia Wednesday 3 October 2001 Ìý
Why do some of the best and brightest young people starve themselves to death?

The latest statistics indicate that 1.15 million people, mostly in their teens, have anorexia nervosa.
What are the signs to look for, what help is available, and will there be long term consequences?
Jenni discusses the issues with Dr Dee Dawson, author of Anorexia and Bulimia (Virmilion, ISBN: 0-091-87652-4, £8.99), Gill Welbourne, Patron of the Eating Disorders Association and Susie Ladbrooke, a parent trying to set up a counselling centre in Cornwall for eating disorders.
