Alexandra Campbell's latest novel The Daisy Chain explores the usual dilemmas women face throughout their lives with regard to love, marriage and children - but it also examines the devastating effects of violence and crime on the individual.
Alexandra herself has twice been the victim of armed robbery and suffered from anxiety and phobias for years afterwards.
She talks to Jenni about post traumatic stress disorder and how she believes people can best be treated after a distressing event.
